Riley Green Joins Forces With Jamey Johnson and Ella Langley in Nashville for Special Performance of “In Color”

While having only spent a little over a decade in the music industry, Riley Green proved himself to be a rising star in country music thanks to songs like “There Was This Girl” and “I Wish Grandpas Never Died.” And outside of his solo career, the country singer also worked with top talents like Thomas Rhett and Luke Combs. But recently, Green joined forces with Ella Langley and Jamey Johnson to give a special performance on “In Color.” 

With all three stars in Nashville, the three singers took the stage to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the Loser’s Bar and Grill. But that wasn’t all as it was also a celebration of Green’s new bar, The Duck Blind. Kicking off the song, the crowd loved listening to Green perform. Still, when it came to Johnson and Langley joining it – the entire concert appeared to come to life.

Making it rounds of social media, fans gushed over the performance, writing, “Damn, that sounds good.” Another person added, “Always just casually had Jamey Johnson playing guitar.” Other fans used emojis to express their love and support for each singer.

Riley Green & Ella Langley Met Thanks To A Promoter

Thanks to their ongoing collaborations, fans knew that Green and Langley worked well together. But when adding Johnson to the lineup, the set seemed magical. Looking back on a few of their duets, Green discussed working with Langley on the song “You Look Like You Love Me.” “I can remember when I went to write the verse, I really didn’t want to step on her toes in the song, because it was such a cool moment for her, for the girl to be kind of coming onto the guy in the bar. I thought that’s what made the song so cool. Immediately when it came out, everybody knew what we had, but it was a surprise to me for sure.”

Recalling how their friendship first started, Green explained how a promoter helped them out. “Me and Ella have a mutual friend that was a promoter that introduced us years ago. She probably opened for me in Alabama, her being from Alabama as well… when I was playing clubs and bar scenes and just always loved her voice.”

With hit performances and songs, it seems that Green and Langley might have the workings for an iconic duo.
