On Monday, Katy Perry took the stage at the Qudos Bank Arena in Sydney for the latest stop in her Lifetimes Tour. While the singer made her way through a few of her hit songs, the concert took a drastic turn when a fan rushed the stage. Sadly, Perry wasn’t the first singer to have to deal with fans deciding to jump on stage to share a moment with their favorite celebrity. But apparently, the person, identified as Johnson Wen, ended up behind bars for his antics during the Perry concert.

Over the last day, numerous videos of the fan running up to Perry circulated the internet. As fans commented on the lack of awareness from the singer’s security, the video showed Wen being dragged from the stage before Perry insisted, “What the hell is going on?” Not wanting to worry the crowd, she said, “There’s never going to be another show like this, so just enjoy it!”

Having spent years in the music industry, Perry quickly jumped back into her performance of the 2008 hit song “Hot N Cold.” But for Wen, the night was just getting started as his stunt landed him in jail. And apparently, this wasn’t Wen’s first time running on stage. Labeled a serial prankster, Wen also rushed the stage when The Weeknd performed in 2023. Finding his way on stage and even the field at numerous sporting events, the individual was taken into custody.
According to the New South Wales Police, Wen was charged with “entering enclosed land.” Although released on bail, he will return to court on June 23rd. And not wasting a single moment, the Sydney Olympic Park banned Wen for six months.
Fans Shocked How Long It Took Security To Get To Katy Perry
While Perry finished the concert, fans shared their concerns over how long it took security to get to Wen. Having more than enough time to dance on stage, comments read, “Security took their damn time. What the hell?” Another person added, “The way her security let him get all the way to her to make physical contact???”
The comments continued to stack up, with one fan claiming Perry got her security from Temu. Other comments pointed to the dangers of the moment. “That’s scary how long it took security to take him away. Someone with bad intentions could have hurt her easily.”
Thankfully, Wen had no intentions of harming Perry as he only wanted to shine the light on himself. And with a court date already set, it seemed that Wen would have more than enough attention from a judge.
