Longtime Moody Blues singer/guitarist Justin Hayward is preparing to kick off a new North American leg of his Blue World Tour.

The 78-year-old Rock & Roll Hall of Famer recently added some new dates to his solo trek, which kicks off April 15 in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

The spring outing, which currently features 15 concerts, is plotted out through a May 20 show in San Francisco. The tour begins with four performances in Florida, then heads north to Atlanta and the Midwest.
After a May 2 concert in Brookfield, Wisconsin, Hayward will take a weeklong break, then head to the West Coast for a May 10 concert in Coquitlam, Canada. Justin will wind down the trek with four gigs in the Western U.S.
Hayward continues to tour with the same group of musicians he’s played with for several years—keyboardist/backing vocalist Julie Ragins, guitarist Mike Dawes, and flute player Karmen Gould.
Justin last performed in the U.S. in November and December of 2024.
Hayward Sends Message to Fans About the Tour
Hayward recently posted a video message on his socials for fans planning to attend his upcoming tour dates.
“Really looking forward to being back out on the road in the U.S. this spring,” he said. “We’re playing some lovely venues, meeting lots of old friends—well, they’re not old, but lots of friends.” And we’re going up to Canada, not that they need another Justin in Canada, but we’re going there anyway.” Hayward, of course, was jokingly referring to Canada’s prime minister, Justin Trudeau.
He added, “And all my crew are looking forward to [the tour]. They love it. And Mike and Julie and Carmen, we’re already … practicing away. So, [I] look forward to seeing you out there. All the best.”
Hayward’s Other 2025 Performance Plans
Later this year, Justin will return to North America to headline the 2025 edition of the On the Blue Cruise. The seagoing music festival runs from August 22 to August 29. The cruise will set sail from Boston and will visit Halifax and Sydney, Nova Scotia; Saint John, New Brunswick; and Portland, Maine, before heading back to Beantown. Attendees will have the opportunity to leave the ship and check out the various locales during the trip.
Besides Hayward, the performance lineup includes Alan Parsons, Dave Mason, The Zombies’ Colin Blunstone, Starship Featuring Mickey Thomas, Al Stewart, Ambrosia, April Wine, Wishbone Ash, Honeymoon Suite, Pat Travers, and ex-Boston singer Fran Cosmo.
After the cruise, Justin has a one-off concert scheduled on August 31 in Derry, New Hampshire.
In addition, Hayward will mount a fall leg of his Blue World Tour in his U.K. homeland. The 10-show outing runs from an October 19 concert in Cardiff, Wales, through an October 31 performance in London.
