Watch Vince Gill’s Daughter Corrina Belt Out Led Zeppelin’s “Black Dog” While Making Morning Coffee

Often considered the nicest guy in Nashville, Vince Gill once found himself standing in front of Amy Grant, who was called The Queen of Christian Pop. Instantly finding a connection, the singers/songwriters eventually walked down the aisle in 2000. For over the last two decades, the two not only graced the stage together but helped raise a family. With both nurturing amazing careers in music, it seemed only fitting that their daughter, Corrina Grant Gill, would follow in their footsteps. And when deciding to brew a cup of morning coffee, Corrina showcased her musical talents when covering Led Zeppelin’s “Black Dog.”

Having released her own music, Corrina decided to cover one of the hit songs from the English rock band. Although some artists needed a full studio and band behind them, the singer needed nothing more than a camera. Standing in the kitchen, Corrina filled the room with her amazing voice and even did a little dance. She captioned the post, writing, “Good morning. I’m making coffee in any empty house so naturally that means practicing my belt.”

Corrina Grant Gill Once Shared Her Life Goals

Released on Led Zeppelin’s fourth album, which was untitled, the band found inspiration for the song while working at the Headley Grange studio. Noticing a black dog wandering around the ground, the band remembered how the dog would search the area at night only to rest during the day. Singer Robert Plant believed the dog was spending the nights with some female companionship. That simple idea turned into a hit song for the group.

Focusing on themes of lust, sex, and betrayal, “Black Dog” was ranked No. 1 on the list of “20 Greatest Guitar Tracks” by Q magazine in 2007.

As for Corrina, her cover of the iconic song gained high praise from fans as comments read, “ I have no idea why this isn’t going viral immediately! The tone of your voice aloooone”

Continuing to explore a career in music, Corrina once shared her goal for the future, admitting in 2022, “I would like to make enough money to have a little house with a little lake and a horse and a little stream and be able to grow my own vegetables. If that is in Madison Square Garden, that’s really cool. And if it’s at the same little coffee shop with the same, like, little old people that come every Sunday, that’s totally fine. But I just want to be in the company of the people that I admire.”
