John Fogerty recently announced plans to celebrate his 80th birthday at a special May 28 concert in New York City. Now, the legendary Creedence Clearwater Revival frontman’s social media pages have posted a message reaching out to fans asking them to submit their own birthday wishes to Fogerty to mark the milestone.

A special webpage has been launched where fans can submit videos messages.
The online note reads, “We’re celebrating on May 28th and we want you to be part of it. Head to the link in bio to leave a personal message—write it, sing it, shout it loud! Let’s show John just how loved he is on this incredible milestone.”
Tickets for the May 28 concert, which takes place at the historic Beacon Theatre, are on sale now at Ticketmaster. Fans also may want to check out StubHub to purchase tickets.
It’s not known if any special guests will participate in the Beacon Theatre show. The concert is part of Fogerty’s ongoing 2025 Celebration Tour, which focuses mainly on his classic CCR material.
Fogerty’s Other Upcoming 2025 Tour Plans
Prior to his 80th birthday show, Fogerty will be performing at the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival on April 24.
John has nine other confirmed concerts on his 2025 itinerary, including five performances in Europe in late June.
Those shows will take place on June 20 at the Azkena Rock Festival in Vitoria-Gasteiz, Spain; June 23 in Amsterdam; June 25 in Antwerp, Belgium; June 26 in Paris; and June 28 at the famed Glastonbury Festival in Pilton, U.K. Headlining Glastonbury on June 28 will be Neil Young and his current backing band, The Chrome Hearts.
Fogerty also will play a July 6 concert at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles. In addition, he recently added three shows in the Eastern U.S. in early August. Those performances are scheduled for August 1 in Doswell, Virginia; August 2 in Selbyville, Delaware; and August 3 in Quincy, Massachusetts.
Fogerty’s current backing band features his sons Shane and Tyler.
Fogerty Will Be Honored by Bruce Springsteen at Special Event in Late April
Meanwhile, on April 26, Fogerty will be saluted at the 2025 American Music Honors, an event hosted by the Bruce Springsteen Archives & Center for American Music at Monmouth University in West Long Branch, New Jersey. The founding CCR frontman will be honored alongside Motown legend Smokey Robinson, lauded country-folk singer/songwriter Emmylou Harris, Rage Against the Machine guitarist Tom Morello, and influential progressive country artist Joe Ely.
Bruce Springsteen and E Street Band members Nils Lofgren, Patti Scialfa, and Steven Van Zandt will serve as presenters at the April 26 event. Fogerty will be honored by the Boss himself.
The event also will feature musical performances by the honorees and others. Van Zandt’s side group The Disciples of Soul will serve as house band for the festivities. Veteran TV news anchor Brian Williams will emcee the ceremony.
The American Music Honors celebrate artists who have shown “artistic excellence, creative integrity, and a longstanding commitment to the value of music within national consciousness.”
