Zach Bryan Deletes Twitter After Backlash Over Taylor Swift Tweet

R Zach Bryan has once again deleted his Twitter after being confronted over a controversial tweet. This time, he made the bold move of provoking the Swifties, which usually doesn’t end well for anyone. In a now-unavailable tweet, he posted “eagles > chiefs, Kanye > Taylor, who’s with me,” per a report from Music News.

Now, the Kanye versus Taylor Swift argument has been tired since 2009, but Bryan chose to resurrect it for reasons unknown. Not only did he make a dig at Swift, but also her boyfriend, Travis Kelce, who plays for the Kansas City Chiefs. Swifties didn’t take kindly to this display, and flooded the comments section. Eventually, Zach Bryan deleted not just the tweet, but his entire account.

“He knew not to mess with the Swifties,” one Swift fan wrote. Another commented, “Got all brave just to wimp out and deactivate.”

A search reveals that Zach Bryan’s Instagram is still up, so he didn’t delete all social media. However, he has not addressed the backlash from his tweet on any of his accounts. He may return to Twitter, as he has in the past, so fans should keep an eye out for him there.

Zach Bryan Shares Gratitude for Song “Burn, Burn, Burn” Two Years After Its Release

Before he deactivated his Twitter, Zach Bryan took to the platform to share love for his song “Burn, Burn, Burn,” revealing that it’s one of his favorite songs from his own catalog.

“Two years ago I released this,” he wrote of the song. “I didn’t know any of the words in Ottawa and I had no idea it would change my life forever. By the end everyone was clapping and I bawled like a baby. My favorite moment of being a musician in my entire life. Here’s to two years of Burn, Burn Burn.”

The song remains one of Bryan’s most popular tracks, with nearly 200 million streams on Spotify as of May this year. It sat on Billboard‘s Hot 100 for three weeks, and the Hot Country Songs chart for a whopping 21 weeks. It’s a raw and emotional track, with those emotions coming out clearly in Bryan’s powerful vocals. He lets his voice crack and fray on the last chorus, seemingly forcing the song out of his throat. That display of raw emotion captured his audience completely, and the song remains a fan favorite.
