1. Jordan Smith
Jordan Smith won Season 9 of The Voice back in 2015. He has since built an international fanbase, specifically in Europe and Asia. It makes sense why: With vocals like that, language and culture barriers really don’t matter when it comes to showcasing one’s talent. While on The Voice, he became the very first artist on the show to reach no. 1 in pop sales. His blind audition performance of “Chandelier” by Sia is still a go-to on YouTube among fans.
2. Christina Grimmie
When it comes to Voice contestants who gained a following outside of the US, Christina Grimmie was slated for international stardom. After competing on The Voice’s sixth season, Grimmie was quickly signed by Adam Levine (even though she didn’t win) and went on to tour with the likes of Selena Gomez, The Jonas Brothers, and more across the globe. Unfortunately, Grimmie passed away in 2016 before her career could hit its peak.
3. Karise Eden
Karise Eden is the winner of the first season of Australia’s version of The Voice. She gained a small following in the US, but the bulk of her fans popped up in Australia and New Zealand. Her first album My Journey was released back in 2012 and was a no. 1 hit on the ARIA Albums Chart, and it also hit double platinum status soon after.
4. Anja Nissen
Another Australian winner of The Voice Australia, Nissen took home the win back in 2014. She was quickly signed to Universal Music Group. She’s a big star in Australia and New Zealand. After her time on The Voice, she competed in the Eurovision Song Contest in 2017 and made it to second place, which gave her a major boost in popularity across Europe.
