5 Musicians To Listen to if You Love Lana Del Rey

Lana Del Rey is going through yet another career renaissance. She’s currently working on a country album and has wowed even non-fans with her Coachella performances in 2024. Lasso won’t be out until next year, and some fans are desperate for more new music. Luckily, there are quite a few musicians out there worth listening to if you’re a fan of Lana Del Rey! Let’s look at just a few examples.

1. Ethel Cain

Ethel Cain is in a league of her own, but some have drawn a few comparisons between her and Del Rey. Her vocals are deep and crooning, much like Del Rey. Their vocal styles are similar, and they both tackle darker themes with unique, influential aesthetics. Preacher’s Daughter is the concept album that made Cain famous and is absolutely essential listening.

2. Abby Sage

If you’re looking for musicians who are similar to Lana Del Rey, Abby Sage is an up-and-comer worth checking out. She’s released a couple of EPs thus far in her career, and she has the same indie-pop California vibe that Del Rey had early in her career. Fears Of Yours & Mine and The Florist are essential releases to listen to. We particularly enjoy her electronica-tinged song “Fever Dream”.

3. November Ultra

When it comes to aesthetics, French artist November Ultra is quite similar to Del Rey. However, the former is not some cheap imitation of the latter. Her debut Bedroom Walls is a pop-alternative delight with a ton of notable inspiration behind it, from classic folk music to R&B to European 1960s musicals. Plenty of artists out there have tried to make a “vintage” aesthetic unique to them like Del Rey, but few have managed to do it like November Ultra.

4. Jesse Jo Stark

Jesse Jo Stark is another Los Angeles musician who makes vintage rock music. Her work is harder and louder than Del Rey’s, but one can’t ignore some similarities between them. Her debut album DOOMED is a stellar gothic punk-rock piece of work. There’s a little bit of Americana balladry on that album that sounds close to Del Rey, but entirely different; in a good way.

5. Stella Rose

Stella Rose is another newish musician who sounds similar to Lana Del Rey and is definitely worth keeping an eye out for. She’s the daughter of Depeche Mode’s Dave Gahan and inherited a bit of her dad’s musical talent. Her debut album Eyes Of Glass is worth a listen if you’re a fan of dramatic pop music.
