“Sorry Harbaugh”: Lamar Jackson Is Not About To Miss Beyoncé’s Christmas Halftime Show at Ravens Game

While families celebrated Christmas, Lamar Jackson and the Baltimore Ravens prepared to take on the Houston Texans for the NFL Christmas Game. Kicking off at 4:30 p.m. ET/PT, Netflix will air the matchup for the first time. And wanting to make the broadcast memorable, Netflix and the NFL promoted a stellar halftime performance from none other than Beyoncé. With the Ravens going into the game with a 10-5 record, they hope to edge out the 9-6 Texans. But for quarterback Lamar Jackson, he isn’t so much worried about the Texans as he looked to be on the sideline during the Beyoncé performance.

Although fans will be treated to a mesmerizing performance from Beyoncé, the teams will make their way to the locker rooms. While coaches use the time to talk to their players and prepare a game plan for the second half, Jackson told ESPN he would not miss Beyoncé performing.

Not wanting to miss Beyoncé, Jackson admitted, “I’m going to go out there and watch. [It will be my] first time seeing Beyoncé perform, and it’s at our game — that’s dope. I’m going to go out and watch. Sorry [Ravens coach John] Harbaugh, sorry. Sorry, fellas.”

Lamar Jackson Wants To Watch Beyoncé Win Or Lose

Apparently, Jackson wasn’t even worried about missing halftime even if the Ravens were down. “No, I’m not even thinking about the lead. I was just thinking about just seeing Beyoncé for the first time.”

While loving his time in the NFL and helping the Ravens dominate this season, the quarterback explained how he didn’t want to play on Christmas day every season. Just last year, the Ravens went up against the San Francisco 49ers. Defeating the 49ers at the time, Jackson said, “I do want to celebrate at home with some time with my family. I don’t want to play on Christmas all the time — not all the time. But no, it’s great. All jokes aside, it’s great. It’s a present for everyone. They get to see us play, and [there will be] a lot of eyes on us, and I believe a lot of people are going to be watching us at the right time.”

Not knowing what will happen if he decides to stay, it appears that Jackson has already made up his mind that win or lose, he wasn’t about to miss Beyoncé.
