It looks like Mick Jagger is ready to have a fun 2025 judging by the photo he posted of himself on his social media pages to ring in the New Year. The Rolling Stones frontman shared a pic showing him with a crazy expression, with his mouth wide open as if he were screaming.

He accompanied the photo with a note that read, simply, “Happy New Year everybody!!”

Meanwhile, Jagger’s 25-year-old son Lucas, who’s been known to occasionally and humorously troll his famous father on social media, posted a note in the comments section of Mick’s Instagram page revealing that he snapped the photo of his dad.
“Who took that picture ????? (Me),” Lucas wrote. Jagger fathered Lucas while in a relationship with Brazilian model and TV host Luciana Morad.
Fans React to Mick Jagger’s New Year’s Post
The 81-year-old rock legend’s post inspired many fans to share their reactions in the comments section of his Instagram.
“[N]ow the year will be a good one,” one fan wrote.
“Can see his tonsils!!” another commented, along with some laughing face emojis.
A third fan wrote, “Happy New Year, Mick! May 2025 bring you even more unforgettable moments, rocking tunes, and endless energy. Here’s to another year of defying age, pushing boundaries, and making music that moves the world.”
The Other Recent Rolling Stones Social Media Posts
Longtime Rolling Stones guitarist Ronnie Wood also sent out a New Year’s wish to fans on his socials. Wood’s note read, “Happy New Year! May 2025 bring you and your families love and happiness! With much love xxx.”
Ronnie accompanied the message with a photo of him onstage with his arms reaching out to either side.
Co-founding Stones guitarist Keith Richards, meanwhile, did not post a New Year’s message to fans. Keith did, however, post a Happy Birthday note to longtime Stones touring backup singer Bernard Fowler on Thursday, January 2.
“Happy Birthday, Bernard!” wrote Richards. “One love, Keith.”
Fowler, who turned 65, has been touring with The Rolling Stones since 1989.
The Rolling Stones Haven’t Confirmed Their 2025 Plans
In 2024, The Rolling Stones mounted a 20-date North American tour in support of their 2023 studio album, Hackney Diamonds. The trek kicked off on April 28 in Houston and ended with a July 21 show in Ridgedale, Missouri.
The Stones haven’t announced new touring plans for 2025, although Wood recently hinted that the band was planning to play shows in Europe this year.
In a BBC radio interview in November 2024, Ronnie mentioned that The Rolling Stones were hoping to mount “a tour of Europe … next year.”
