For most, going on a cruise meant a getaway full of food, drinks, and sun. But for the Rock Legends Cruise, it offered music lovers an entirely different experience. Besides the normal accommodations of a standard cruise, the Rock Legend Cruise came packed with legends like Styx, John Waite, Foghat, Robin Tower, Alice Cooper, and Don Felder. Leaving Miami on Thursday, the cruise promoted numerous performances. And when it came time for Felder to take the stage, the musician suffered a medical episode that left him in the care of medical professionals.

On Thursday night, Felder hoped to kick off the cruise with an amazing setlist that included “Peaceful Easy Feeling” and “One of These Nights.” Making his way through the concert, fans noticed the musician stumbling when trying to perform “Tequila Sunrise.” With fans watching as medical professionals rushed to help him, the situation left many in silence as the guitarist needed help walking off stage.
The experience seemed shocking given that Felder spent a few minutes talking to the crowd just before he started the song. While seeming in high spirits, the musician took a drastic turn as he stumbled around.

Don Felder Offers Update About Medical Situation
With fans concerned about Felder, the guitarist shared an update on his Instagram stories, writing, “We appreciate everyone’s concern regarding Don Felder’s abrupt stop to his show last night on the Rock Legends Cruise. After receiving medical attention he was deemed to be suffering from dehydration. He was given fluids, and is feeling much better.”
The statement added that staff was working with Felder to adjust his upcoming schedule. “To ensure he has ample time to rehydrate and recover fully, we are working on rescheduling today’s shows and adjusting the remainder of the cruise schedule accordingly. Thank you for your understanding, and remember – drink your water!”
With the cruise offering a full day of fun in the sun, it’s easy to see how dehydration could play a part in Felder’s incident. The cruise continued on its route and is expected to conclude on February 17th. As for Felder, he will hit the road for a nationwide tour in May with Styx and Kevin Cronin.
