Already holding countless awards and selling over 200 million albums worldwide, Beyoncé solidified herself as a top name in the music industry. While exploring genres like R&B, pop, and hip-hop, the hitmaker decided to shock the music industry and her fans when she announced her debut country album Cowboy Carter. Making a massive shift in her career, Beyoncé produced several hits on the album with “Texas Hold ‘Em” and “16 Carriages.” Although the album gained praise, it appeared that the 2025 ACM Awards decided not to nominate Beyoncé for any awards causing the ACM CEO to speak out.

While making headlines once again, fans watched as the ACM Awards snubbed Beyoncé over Cowboy Carter. For some, it isn’t all that shocking given the CMA Awards did the same thing. Although wanting to leave her mark on country music, some fans took issue with Beyoncé wanting to go country. But with her songs taking over the airwaves, the move from the ACM and CMA Awards raised some eyebrows.
Speaking about the decision, the ACM CEO, Damon Whiteside, offered his take on the awards giving no nominations to Beyoncé. “I think, more likely, they’re going to be voting for artists that they’ve got relationships with and work with on a regular basis and that are in the country music business 365.”

AMC Awards Offer Beyoncé An Open Invitation
With the deep history of country music, most artists spend years exploring its roots and paying homage to some of the greats who helped build the genre. Besides explaining the lasting relationships within country music, Whiteside hoped that the singer would have gained a nomination. “Were we hoping she’d be nominated? Absolutely. We love that Beyoncé is in the country genre. That’s fantastic for all the country artists out there. It’s fantastic for the fans. The more successful she is, the more we’re bringing more mainstream people into the genre which we want.”
Although Beyoncé won’t get a chance to win any awards, Whiteside still offered her a place at the event with an open invitation, “We’d love to have Beyoncé on the show. She has an open invitation to be on the ACM stage anytime she ever wants to.”
