Although growing up in a one-room cabin in Pittman Center, Tennessee, Dolly Parton could only imagine what her future would hold. While sharing a love for country music, the genre not only welcomed the singer but helped her become one of the biggest female country singers in the genre. Spending over six decades in the music industry, Dolly accumulated more than hit songs and accolades as her net worth climbed over $650 million. Able to trade her one-room childhood to one of riches and fame, the Country Music Hall of Fame decided to honor the legacy of Dolly with an exhibit showcasing her amazing career on and off the stage.

On May 20th, the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum will celebrate the opening of “Dolly Parton: Journey of a Seeker” in Nashville. The exhibit will remain open until September 2026, allowing fans all over the world a chance to take a trip through the extraordinary life of Dolly. Looking at the price of general admission, a single adult ticket costs $29.95 with a children’s ticket only costing $19.95.
Releasing a statement about gaining entry into the Country Music Hall of Fame and the new exhibit, Dolly wrote, “Being inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame was one of the greatest moments of my life, and being able to have a personal exhibit for the fans that put me there is a very big deal to me. This seeker is very proud and honored, and I hope you enjoy my journey. I will always love you.”
What The Dolly Parton Exhibit Includes
As for the exhibit, it will feature clothing, awards, photographs, instruments, and even handwritten lyrics from Dolly. There will also be exclusive interview footage offered only to the exhibit.
Thrilled to get the chance to celebrate Dolly’s amazing career in the spotlight, the chief executive officer for the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum, Kyle Young, said, “After accomplishing enough for three lifetimes, Dolly Parton continues to astound and amaze us with her boundless talent, her vivacious wit and her tremendous generosity. Like all great artists, Parton has demonstrated consistently that she can transform adversity and setbacks into works of stunning beauty and insight into the human condition.”
While having held such an important place in country music, the museum promised, “The upcoming exhibition will focus on turning points in Parton’s life and career through the decades, where she overcame obstacles and ignored naysayers to become one of the most beloved and widely recognized celebrities across the world.”
