While debuting as a judge on American Idol, Carrie Underwood quickly learned about the pressure that comes with trying to find the next hit singer. Having produced a successful career after winning American Idol herself, the singer knew all about the pressures of the music industry. But when it came to judging, she held the dreams of numerous contestants in her hand. Always making sure to give honest feedback, the judges rounded out the Top 24. And with the series moving to two shows a week, here are all the details about tonight’s episode and if it is new.

Just a few weeks ago, American Idol added a second show to their weekly lineup. Excited to share the talents of the contestants, the singers competed in head-to-head battles to see who would advance to the Top 24. Eventually announcing the final member of the group advancing, the judges shared some wonderful news. Although just getting to Hollywood, they would all be traveling to Disney’s Aulani resort for Disney Week.
A popular segment on the show, the contestants and judges, including Jelly Roll, found themselves rubbing shoulders with some iconic Disney characters. Thrilled to be traveling to Hawaii for the next phase of American Idol, the show will feature the contestants covering some of the most iconic Disney songs.

Breanna Nix Stuns On ‘American Idol’ With Cover Of “Gratitude”
Just last week, Breanna Nix and Rylie O’Neill took the stage to perform Brandon Lake’s “Gratitude.” Besides just covering the song, the moment completely held their future as only one would continue forward.
After the powerful performance, Underwood struggled with her emotions as she insisted, “I know how difficult it is to come into the entertainment industry and bring your faith with you. It is a brave thing to do because there are a lot of outside forces that are going to tell you not to do that. I want to tell you that I’m proud of you guys.”
While getting some support from Lionel Richie, the judges could only pick one and the last person of the Top 24 went to Nix. The stay-at-home mom first auditioned for American Idol when she decided to cover Underwood’s “Jesus Take The Wheel.”
With the Top 24 set and the show heading into Disney Week, don’t miss a new episode of American Idol, airing tonight and tomorrow at 8:00 p.m. ET/PT on ABC and available to stream on Hulu.
