With Michael Bublé winning season 26 of The Voice, he hoped to add another victory as he returned for the new season. Although feeling at home, he found himself competing against stars like John Legend, Kelsea Ballerini, and Adam Levine. For both Levine and Legend, they walked on the show with a great deal of knowledge on how to build the perfect team. And on Monday, that knowledge will be tested with the Playoffs starting. Only able to bring two artists to the live shows, the contestants will get a great deal of advice from more than their coaches.

As the competition heated up, the producers understood the stress put on each contestant. Hoping to give them a boost, it seemed that Sheryl Crow and LeAnn Rimes will be on hand as advisors. Not offering their advice to every singer, Crow and Rimes will split the teams. For Crow, she will guide the singers from Team Ballerini and Team Bublé. And for Rimes, she will team up with Team Legend and Team Levine.
Taking the singers under their wing, the live shows are already looking to be a close showdown between not just the contestants but also the coaches.

Sheryl Crow Was Almost A Coach On ‘The Voice’
Outside of being named a guest mentor, Crow recently discussed how she was offered a position on The Voice during the first season. While loving the idea of the show, at the time, the singer focused on her family at home. She told People, “I had a newborn and did not want to move back to L.A. Actually, that’s not true. He [son Levi] was about 2 years old and I didn’t want to move back to L.A. and so I didn’t do it. And I have not really entertained it since then because we have a busy life here and normalcy is really lovely.”
Already taking part on The Voice, Crow insisted she loved her time on the show with Ballerini. “I loved mentoring. It was a blast, and I absolutely adore [The Voice coach] Kelsea [Ballerini]”
With Crow making an appearance on The Voice, the idea of seeing the icon take a seat as a coach might become a reality. But for now, fans can get a taste of what she would be like as she mentors the remaining contestants.
Don’t miss a new episode of The Voice, airing tonight at 8:00 p.m. ET/PT on NBC.
