Over Bruce Springsteen & the E Street Band’s 2023-2025 Tour‘s 129 shows, the venture grossed $729.7 million, Billboard reported.
The gargantuan figure makes the tour the biggest of Springsteen’s career two times over, according to the outlet. Before his most recent tour, the most successful outing of Springsteen’s career came with The Wrecking Ball World Tour, which grossed $347 million between 2012 and 2013, the outlet reported.
Meanwhile, the outlet noted that Springsteen’s The Rising Tour (2002-03), The Magic Tour (2007-08), and The River Tour (2016-17) each grossed more than $200 million.
On top of its record-breaking monetary success, The Boss’ most recent tour was a ticket sales giant as well. The outlet reported that Springsteen sold 4.9 million tickets to his shows, a 37 percent increase from his Wrecking Ball World Tour.
Length-wise the 2023 to 2025 tour comes out on top too. Its 129 shows bests The Wrecking Ball World Tour’s 125, The Rising Tour’s 104, and Magic Tour’s 100, according to the outlet.
Notably, the outlet reported that the tour is now one of the 10 highest grossing in history. It is only the seventh tour to gross over $700 million, according to the outlet.
Over the course of Springsteen’s career, he’s grossed a total of $2.3 billion from 22.6 million tickets sold across 1,028 shows, the outlet reported. Those figures date back to Springsteen’s Born to Run Tour in 1976, when data was sparsely reported.
Bruce Springsteen’s Future Tours
Springsteen likely won’t stop touring any time soon. In a recent interview with Rolling Stone, Springsteen said he “absolutely” hopes to still be touring in his 90s like Pete Seeger, Willie Nelson, and others.
“I knew Pete, and Pete had a lot of energy. And when his voice began to go, he simply found another way to do it,” Springsteen said. “I think, was it his cousin or something who would play alongside him? Pete understood that people were coming to experience his spirit, which was as strong as could be.”
“The Stones are a great inspiration right now. I think the Stones are playing better than they’ve ever played, as is Paul McCartney,” he added. “And Bob Dylan is out there. So these guys, they’re a little in front of me, and they’re showing, ‘Hey, it’s not time to sleep yet. There’s many miles to go.’”
