Richard Goodall, the singing middle school janitor is a favorite to win it all during the America’s Got Talent season 19 finale tomorrow night (September 24). However, even if he doesn’t walk away with the win and the million-dollar prize, he’s already scored a major win. Last week, he and his fiancée, Angie Vanowen said “I do” in Malibu.

Goodall shared the good news with his fans, followers, friends, and family on his Facebook page Wednesday evening (September 18). The post featured a photo of the happy couple’s hands sporting new golden wedding bands. “As of 3 pm Pacific Standard Time, Angie and I are now Richard and Angela VanGoodall,” he wrote in the post’s caption.
Hours later, VanGoodall shared photos from the beach ceremony featuring some familiar faces. “An amazing night, day, and night last night,” he wrote in the post. “Married to my love with my AGT family attending and we got the pleasure of eating in Malibu on the beach at Moonshadows,” he added. “So blessed and eternally grateful.”

Richard Goodall, the newlywed Indiana native is a favorite to win it all. He has been wowing the judges since his debut performance of Journey’s “Don’t Stop Believin’” which earned him a Golden Buzzer. Last week, he dipped back into Journey’s catalog for his performance and sang “Faithfully.” The performance earned him praise from all of the America’s Got Talent judges. Simon Cowell called him “our hero.” Heidi Klum called him an “amazing man.” However, Howie Mandel may have given him the highest praise.
“I will make a prediction right now,” Mandel told him. “I think you just sang yourself $1 million.”
Goodall is scheduled to perform another Journey song during the second night of the finale tomorrow night. He’ll perform with the band’s guitarist Neal Schon. If he wins the prize money, he’ll be able to take his new bride on an unforgettable honeymoon.
The second night of the America’s Got Talent season 19 finale airs tomorrow night on NBC at 9/8c.
