On Monday, July 14th, police found Kaye and Deluca in their $4.5 million home. According to the Los Angeles Police Department, they apprehended a suspect, 22-year-old Raymond Boodarian, in connection with the double homicide. With the new rocking the entertainment community, American Idol released a statement, reading. “We’re devastated to hear of Robin and her dear husband, Tom’s, passing.”

Having held a position on the show for over two decades, American Idol added, “Robin has been a cornerstone of the Idol family since 2009 and was truly loved and respected by all who came in contact with her. Details Surrounding The Death Of Robin Kaye And Thomas Deluca

According to the LAPD, officers performed a welfare check on July 14th after an individual expressed their concern about the couple. Not hearing from them in a few days, the person decided to contact the authorities. Sadly, police located Kaye and Deluca in separate rooms of the house with gunshot wounds to the head.

Looking at the initial reports, the authorities believed the incident revolved around a break-in. “The victims returned home while the suspect had gained entry into the residence, and a confrontation ensued, which resulted in the suspect taking their lives. The victims succumbed to multiple gunshot wounds, and the suspect fled from the residence on foot.”

Just days prior, police apparently responded to a call from neighbors who suggested a person jumped the fence. Amee Faggen said, “My renter saw someone hopping the fence back on Thursday and she called 911. But we haven’t heard anything since then, so we have no idea if it’s even related or not.”

While Kaye’s time on American Idol focused on the production side of the competition, her personality, impact, and professionalism will always be remembered by the judges, contestants, and crew.
