Chester Bennington’s Widow Seemingly Backs Linkin Park’s Decision to Add New Vocalist Emily Armstrong

Chester Bennington’s widow, Talinda Bennington, has seemingly shared support for Linkin Park‘s decision to add new vocalist Emily Armstrong to the lineup. Armstrong has come under scrutiny lately for her allegedly questionable associations with Scientology and Danny Masterson. While she addressed the latter, some people—such as Bennington’s oldest son, Jaime—are still not welcoming.

However, Talinda seemingly backed Armstrong with a comment on the vocalist’s recent Instagram post. Armstrong shared her excitement for the new chapter with Linkin Park with a social media post on September 10, writing, “I’m so beyond excited for this next chapter!! The love and support does not go unnoticed.”

In the comments, Talinda left three fire emojis which seemingly translates to support for Armstrong. Many fans took notice of Talinda’s contribution, sharing that they were on the fence about Armstrong before, but Talinda’s alleged approval assuaged their fears.

Linkin Park fans replied with heart emojis under Talinda’s comment, with one also writing, “This is all I needed. I’ve been so back and forth, but if Talinda is on board, I’m officially sold.” Another Linkin Park fan wrote, “Talinda’s approving is so huge.”

Linkin Park’s New Vocalist Emily Armstrong Finds Support From Chester Bennington’s Widow Amid Criticism

Some Linkin Park fans disagreed with Talinda’s alleged support of Emily Armstrong, sounding off in the comments. Many have been backing Jaime Bennington as he chronicles his opinions on the reunion on social media.

“[Talinda’s] supporting because she gets all of Chester’s royalties,” one person wrote. In response to the comment which stated, “If Talinda supports Emily Who are we to say if she is worthy or not to be LP vocalist?” another Linkin Park fan wrote, “Anyone who can think critically can disagree with the person who profits off LP continuing….”

One person addressed Talinda directly, writing, “you like it, Jamie has a different opinion,” in reference to Jaime Bennington’s public thoughts on the matter. Another made reference to Armstrong with the comment, “She is destroying Chester’s legacy with her disaster voice and Talinda is supporting.”

Overall, opinions are split regarding Linkin Park’s return and the inclusion of Emily Armstrong as vocalist. Fans can go either way, but it looks like Talinda Bennington backs the decision. Meanwhile, Jaime Bennington strongly disagrees.
