To celebrate the upcoming launch of their headlining Banshee Season Tour, Counting Crows is teaming up with SiriusXM to broadcast their show at the historic Troubadour in Los Angeles on June 5. On Wednesday (May 31), the band announced the surprise, one-night-only show, which marks their first performance at the Troubadour. SiriusXM Presents: Counting Crows Live at The Troubadour will premiere on June 12 at 11 a.m. ET on SiriusXM’s Lithium channel, one day before the tour kicks off.

The Banshee Season Tour is comprised of a whopping 56 dates beginning in Omaha, Nebraska, on June 13 and concluding at the famed Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Colorado on September 25. Along the way, the “Mr. Jones” singers will perform at the historic Grand Ole Opry in Nashville, Tennessee; The Greek Theatre in Los Angeles, California; the Majestic Theatre in San Antonio, Texas and more. Dashboard Confessional is also on the bill, along with Frank Turner on select dates.

“One of the best things about a life in rock and roll is that we spend it traveling the world playing music,” Counting Crows frontman Adam Duritz said in a press statement. “It’s even better when you can do it with one of your best friends and watch them play every night too. Chris Carrabba hits the trifecta for me in that he’s one of my best friends in the world, one of my favorite people in the world, and he leads one of my favorite bands of all time, Dashboard Confessional. Sorry for the terrible pun but hands down, this is going to be the best summer ever.”

Tickets for the Troubadour show are on sale now. Howard Stern’s SiriusXM channel, Howard 101, will re-air the set on June 16 at 7 p.m. ET.
