Support and Grief Pours Out for Crazy P After Danielle Moore’s Sudden Passing
Fans gathered in the comments of the Instagram post to grieve and share support for Crazy P. “I loved that woman so much. [S]he was a such a special person, on and off the stage, but especially off it. Funny, kind, generous, even a little shy, but just an incredible human being. I’m so devastated by this. Much love to you all, this is just the worst news,” wrote one person.
Another person commented, “Heartbroken. She gave warmth to everyone she met, and performed to. Truly a beautiful soul.” Yet another wrote, “I can’t put into words how much this woman meant to me. I will cherish every smile and voice notes and all the pure love and joy she gave to us. She was a true goddess. She cared like nobody ever cared and she was humble and beautiful and talented. Why am I writing these words. It’s not real. It can’t be. I’m going to miss this woman so much in this lifetime.”
Danielle Moore joined Crazy P—formerly Crazy Penis—in 2002 and continued to front the band and write lyrics until her death. Moore expressed a pure energy in her performances that she maybe felt she couldn’t possess in her normal life. “Performing is everything,” she said in her bio for the Fina Agency. “When I’m performing, I feel like I’ve stepped into my alter ego and am able to take on any mood. It’s very empowering to become detached from my own slightly vulnerable self.”
