Dan Auerbach‘s side-project The Arcs have released a song co-written with Silver Jews’ David Berman called”Young.”
“Young” grew from the writing sessions Auerbach and Berman have been partaking in for years, and Auerbach says future songs written by the two are on the way.
“We’ve been meeting at night, writing together for a few years,” Auerbach said in a release. “This is the first time we’ve shared any of that. The Arcs have recorded more songs from the collaboration, and we hope to release more of it very soon.”
The track is a part of The Arcs’ Record Store Day Black Friday EP The Arcs vs. the Inventors Vol. 1, which features six tracks prominently featuring collaborators Dr. John and David Hidalgo. It will be released on 10″ vinyl on Nov. 27, with a digital release to follow on Dec. 11.
