Dave Portnoy Drops Diss Track About Brianna Chickenfry’s Ex Zach Bryan, and It’s as Goofy as You Think It Is

In late October, Zach Bryan shared the news that his relationship with Barstool Sports podcast host Brianna LaPaglia had ended. She expressed shock at the brusque way he informed fans on social media, seemingly without consulting her. Now, her podcast co-hosts, Dave Portnoy and Josh Richards, dropped a diss track about Bryan, complete with a music video.

The track is decidedly goofy, as is the video. It stars Portnoy and Richards as cops who bring in an alleged stand-in for Bryan, interrogating him with references to Bryan’s lyrics. You’re good at being country without the second syllable, they say, which is as harsh as it is clever.

You’re shorter than me so sorry if this is a low blow but I’m about to turn this place into an Oklahoma Smoke Show, the two continue. It goes on like that for five minutes and 21 seconds. However, it’s nice to see Portnoy and Richards sticking up for LaPaglia in this vulnerable time. They seem to truly have her back, as their podcast title BFFs implies.

Fans Share the Love for BFFs Podcast‘s Zach Bryan Diss Track

Fans of the podcast went to the comments of the video to share their love for the Zach Bryan diss track. Many expressed disbelief at it being so good. “This had no business being so good,” one person wrote, with another exclaiming “THIS GOES SO HARD,” in a similar sentiment.

Others quoted their favorite lines from the track. “’There’s ‘Something in the Orange’ and it’s you behind these bars,’” one person quoted. Another wrote, “This reminds me of a high school project and I love it.” One person simply wrote, “RIP ZB.”

Recently, Dave Portnoy claimed that Zach Bryan banned him from one of his concerts following a joke he and Richards made with LaPaglia on their podcast. Portnoy spoke about it on The Unnamed Show, coming to LaPaglia’s defense as well.

“I’m like ‘Hey Bri, what time are we meeting up to go?’” recalled Portnoy at the time. “[…] She’s like, Zach has banned you from going to the concert. I’m like, ‘What? Banned? For what?’ Apparently, Zach went back, like, how many months was it? It had to be six months… We at one time on BFFs had a discussion where Bri just got a new boyfriend, and we’re like, ‘Whoa, that’s like your third boyfriend in barely a couple months.’”

While Portnoy and Bryan allegedly made up, singing together at a show not long after, the abrupt news of Zach Bryan and Brianna LaPaglia’s breakup has clearly not won Bryan any points with Portnoy. If this fiery diss track is anything to go by, anyway. Boyfriends are replaceable, but BFFs are forever.
