Although the founding member of the Foo Fighters, Dave Grohl gained his stardom when performing as the drummer for the iconic group Nirvana. After singer Kurt Cobain passed away, the band decided to go their separate ways. And for Grohl, he continued to carve out his own path in the music industry. With Foo Fighters gaining a faithful following over the years, some were saddened when they learned the group would not be performing at the Soundside Music Festival.

Expected to headline at the festival alongside Noah Kahan, Foo Fighters prepared to take the stage on Saturday, September 28th. But according to a post on the band’s Instagram page, “Foo Fighters will no longer be appearing at this weekend’s Soundside Music Festival. Place check the festival website for more information.”
While updating fans on the canceled performance, the band dodged giving a reason behind the decision.
Dave Grohl Promises To Love And Support New Daughter
A bombshell at the time, Grohl recently shared news he’s had a child outside of his marriage. Grohl posted on Instagram, “I’ve recently become the father of a new baby daughter, born outside of my marriage.” While shocking fans with the news, the rockstar promised to be a part of his daughter’s life. “I plan to be a loving and supportive parent to her. I love my wife and my children, and I am doing everything I can to regain their trust and earn their forgiveness. We’re grateful for your consideration toward all the children involved, as we move forward together.”
Looking back on their past performance, Foo Fighters haven’t taken the stage since September 6th when they traveled to Anaheim for a private event. Playing a short set, the band has remained somewhat in limbo as Grohl revealed his new child just four days later. The last time Foo Fighters performed for the public was back in August.
Outside of the Foo Fighters, the Soundside Music Festival will host a stunning lineup including Greta Van Fleet, Boyz II Men, The Goo Goo Dolls, and many more.
