You Got Gold, the annual multi-day celebration of the songs and legacy of John Prine presented by the Hello In There Foundation and the Prine Family regularly raises funds for charitable causes. This year’s four-day benefit event raised $300,000 for disaster relief. A portion of the funds will benefit those who suffered loss due to Hurricane Helene.

John Prine’s Widow on the Success of You Got Gold
John Prine’s widow, Fiona Prine, shared her thoughts on this year’s You Got Gold in a statement. “We are continually floored by the generosity of John’s fans. For the past three years, this community has gathered together to celebrate John’s music and legacy and this year was no different,” she shared. “We are so grateful for the continued support and contributions made on behalf of John, and we are so fortunate to be able to help so many people in need through the great work of the Hello In There Foundation,” she added.
A portion of the funds raised by this year’s You Got Gold will benefit those impacted by Hurricanes Helene and Milton. Some of those who will receive funds are low-income families with children and those in the hospitality industry in Gulfport, Florida. They chose that area specifically because the Prine family has had a home there for decades.
Funds will also go to regionally-based organizations doing work on the ground in East Tennessee, Western North Carolina, and the Gulfport, Florida area.
This year’s You Got Gold raised $300,000 from tickets, merch, and donations. Every cent of that money will go to those in need.
