H.E.R. and Jazmine Sullivan will each headline the two-night festival, with rapper Don Toliver, Canadian singer/songwriter and producer PartyNextDoor, Alina Baraz and TikTok star Doechii also performing throughout the festival. This year, the festival will be at the Shoreline Amphitheatre for the first time in Mountain View, California, on September 16 and 17.

“I’m so excited ‘Lights On Fest’ will be making its return,” H.E.R. says in a press release. “It’s my favorite way to wind down the summer by having two days filled with great R&B music. I am so proud to reveal the extraordinary talent we have on the bill this year and can’t wait for everyone to see what’s to come!” Tickets go on sale to the public on Friday (June 30) at 3 p.m. ET.

According to a press release, Lights On is the first festival to be woman-owned and curated in “decades.” “Once again, Lights on Festival delivers the ultimate R&B experience in the Bay Area with full cultural and musical immersion unlike anything else all year,” the release describes. “A Bay Area native herself, H.E.R. aims to celebrate a genre-rich roster of artists from her hometown and beyond.”

This marks the third year of the festival that debuted in 2019. Past performers include Keyshia Cole, Ty Dolla $ign, Ari Lennox, Jhené Aiko, Daniel Caesar and Summer Walker.

H.E.R. released her debut album, Back of My Mind, in 2021. It featured the hit single “Damage” which reached No. 16 on the Billboard Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart. The album peaked at No. 6 on the all-genre Billboard 200 and No. 4 on the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart.
