Is Morgan Wallen Attending the Billboard Music Awards Tonight? Country Star Nominated for 15 BBMAs

Yesterday, Morgan Wallen’s felony charges for his Chief’s Bar incident were reduced to misdemeanors. The announcement was divulged to the public after Wallen stood in Davidson County Court in front of Judge Cynthia Chappell. Previously, it was reported that Wallen could spend 30 days in jail. However, now, he will only have to spend seven days in a DUI Education Center and then will be placed on two years of supervised probation.

With all that in mind, the public seemingly wonders—Will Morgan Wallen show up to tonight Billboard Music Awards tonight? The likely answer is no, and that is due to his limited public appearances and silence regarding his court case. Even though Wallen received 15 nominations, his recent actions would suggest his absence from the event. However, that answer is neither confirmed nor denied by any external sources or sources directly tied to Morgan Wallen at this point.

Before all parties reached an arrangement in Wallen’s case, Wallen pleaded “Conditionally guilty.” When Wallen received his punishment, his attorney, Worrick Robinson, subsequently released a statement stating, “Upon the successful completion of his probation, the charges will be eligible for dismissal and expungement” and “Mr. Wallen has cooperated fully with authorities throughout these last eight months, directly communicating and apologizing to all involved. Mr. Wallen remains committed to making a positive impact through his music and foundation.”

Prior to the completion of the trial, Wallen and company have been mostly silent about the legal proceedings. However, Wallen did make one statement after the incident in which he articulated his penance and apologies. In addition to his verbal vows of silence, Wallen has ceased many of his public appearances. Most notably, Morgan Wallen did not attend this year’s 58th Annual CMA Awards despite receiving seven nominations. Wallen did win the award of the night and actor Jeff Bridges accepted it on his behalf.

Given Wallen’s legal battle, silence, and him missing the CMAs, it would be entirely predictable for Wallen not to show up at the awards show tonight. Wallen stands to win the biggest award of the night, as the country superstar is nominated for Top Artist of The Year.

To see if Wallen attend the show tune in tonight, December 12 at 8 PM ET/PT on FOX and Fire TV Channels.
