Recently, Jack spoke to The Messenger about his stint on Special Forces. During the conversation, he gave an update on his father’s health and plans for the future.

“I don’t think he’ll tour again,” Osbourne said of his father. However, he did have some good news. “He’s gunning to do one-off shows—like festivals, gigs, things like that,” he added. Then, he said assuringly “He’s not done yet!”

In September, Ozzy Osbourne gave fans some hope that he would be able to tour in the future. “I’ve done two albums fairly recently, but I want to do one more album and then go back on the road,” he said during an interview with Metal Hammer. These comments came while the metal icon was recovering from a spinal surgery.

“I’ve had all the surgery, now, thank God. I’m feeling okay—it was just dragging on,” he said. “I thought I would be back on my feet months ago. I just couldn’t get used to this mode of living. Constantly having something wrong. I can’t walk properly yet, but I’m not in any pain anymore and the surgery on my spine went great,” he added.

However, many of Osbourne’s fans had already given up hope of seeing him on the road again earlier this year when he announced his retirement from touring in February. The rocker posted a statement on social media. “My singing voice is fine,” he assured fans. “However after three operations, stem cell treatments, endless physical therapy sessions, and most recently, groundbreaking cybernetics (HAL) Treatment, my body is still physically weak,” he added.

At the time, he said his crew was working on “coming up with ideas for where I will be able to perform without having to travel from city to city and country to country.”

There is still a chance that the aging rock icon will play future festivals. At the moment, though, things seem to be up in the air. Fans can only wait and hope for the best.
