Jelly Roll, Chris Stapleton, and Shaboozey Slated to Bring Country Music to the Big Easy During Super Bowl Weekend

The stage is set for Super Bowl LIX. The biggest pro football game of the year will take place in New Orleans on February 9. The competitors are still being decided. However, the entertainment and venue are set in stone. Unfortunately for many fans, this year’s Super Bowl won’t include country music artists. However, the Madden Bowl which takes place the Friday before the big game will feature some of the genre’s most buzzworthy artists. Jelly Roll, Shaboozey, Chris Stapleton, and more are slated to perform.

The Madden Bowl, which has been part of Super Bowl week since 1995 will scratch the country music itch for many fans. The event brings top-tier gamers together for a Madden tournament with a total of $1 million up for grabs. This year, EA Sports will bring the gaming competition to the Orpheum Theater in New Orleans.

Rising country star Tucker Whetmore will kick off the event which will take place on Friday, February 7. Trombone Shorty and the New Breed Brass Band will help Whetmore get the party started. Later in the evening, Jelly Roll and Shaboozey will take the stage. Stapleton is slated to headline the event.

John Rosenburg, vice president of marketing, partnerships, and communications at EA Sports spoke about the event in a press release. “EA Sports is a cornerstone of Super Bowl Week, and on Friday at Super Bowl LIX, we’re bringing together fans, music, athletes, esports, and Madden in an unforgettable celebration of football,” Rosenburg shared. “New Orleans is one of the greatest and most passionate sports cities in the world, and with a lineup including Chris Stapleton, Jelly Roll, Shaboozey, and more, this is going to be an absolutely electric night at EA Sports Presents Madden Bowl,” he added.

Get Your Country Music Fix During Super Bowl Week

Fans won’t have to travel to the Big Easy to take in the great country music during Super Bowl week. EA Sports Presents Madden Bowl will stream live across multiple platforms. Fans can watch the finale of the event on EA Sports’ official Twitch and YouTube channels. The stream will start at 7 PM EST on February 7.
