Jon Pardi and Luke Bryan Unite “Cowboys and Plowboys” on New Track

Jon Pardi and Luke Bryan think this town is big enough for both “Cowboys and Plowboys.” Their newly released collaborative track–written by Rhett Akins, Jacob Rice and Cole Taylor–sees the pair compare and contrast the differences between the boys riding horses and those riding tractors.

I wear a 20X American hat / A gold buckle from a rodeo, Pardi sings before Bryan interjects, I wear a dusty old co-op cap / Make my livin’ on them old turn rows. In the chorus they realize they aren’t that different at all singing, We ain’t that different when the day is through / So, here’s to the cowboys and plowboys like me and you / Just like me and you.

“I’ve always looked up to Luke as a songwriter and an artist, and he’s a great friend,” Pardi shared in a statement. “We’ve been on tour together and he’s been someone that has inspired me along the way and always had my back. We’ve been excited to put this song out for a long time, and I can’t wait for people to hear it.”

“When the writers sent this song I couldn’t stop listening to it and I’m so glad it worked out for Pardi to be the one I got to sing it with,” Bryan added. “He is one of the most genuine artists I know. What you see is truly what you get and I respect what he continues to build”

This track won’t be the only time in the near future that Pardi and Bryan join forces. Pardi is on the lineup for Bryan’s Crash My Playa 2024. Elsewhere on the lineup are Jelly Roll, Dustin Lynch, and Bailey Zimmerman.

“Cowboys and Plowboys” marks the first release from Pardi since he shared his latest album, Mr. Saturday Night. Pardi has been on the road in support of the album. He will be inducted into the Grand Ole Opry on October 24.

Bryan recently wrapped his Farm Tour 2024 with Kameron Marlowe, Chayce Beckham, the Peach Pickers, and DJ Rock. The release of this collaborative track follows that of his EP, Open Season.
