Since February of 2024, Lana Del Rey has been disclosing tiny tidbits about her impending country album, Lasso. Recently, she contradicted both of those statements, divulging that the album might now not even be called Lasso and would likely fall into the Americana genre. Well, according to Del Rey’s Instagram page, the album we’ve all been waiting for is actually called The Right Person Will Stay and also has a release date.

Today, November 25, Lana Del Rey announced that her upcoming album will be released on May 21. Additionally, today, Del Rey also announced the dates for her 2025 U.K. and Ireland Stadium tour. Which will begin in Wales on June 23 and conclude in London on July 3. Both announcements come just about two months after her marriage to Jeremy Dufrene.
Lana Del Rey’s Album Announcement
In her Instagram post, Del Rey wrote, “‘The right person will stay’ Out May 21” and “So grateful that my 13 tracks came together with my beautiful work between Luke, Jack and Drew Erickson amongst others.” Del Rey added, “Happy for you to hear a few songs coming up before Stagecoach 🚴 🧣 starting with Henry. Love Always.”
In the post, Del Rey references the acclaimed country producer Luke Laird, and her longtime partners, Jack Antonoff and Drew Erickson. Laird has produced for country acts such as Carrie Underwood, Blake Shelton, and Eric Church. He has also written 20 No. 1 Billboard hits.
Another allusion embedded in the announcement is the referencing of her track, “Henry Come On.” Del Rey has been shedding light on this song since January, and it seems the world will finally get to hear it before she takes on Stagecoach this upcoming April.
The Right Person Will Stay is Lana Del Rey’s 10th studio album and the follow-up to her 2023 album, Did You Know That There’s a Tunnel Under Ocean Blvd. Del Rey told NME the album wouldn’t be as “self-revealing” and that fans should expect “Maybe more American Songbook style.” Do with that what you want, but Del Ray’s newest album will surely be her most off-brand one yet.
