Lizzo is not feeling “Good as Hell.” After coming down with flu-like symptoms, the chart-topping artist was forced to cancel her recent (May 4) performance in Montreal, Canada.

Ahead of the scheduled concert, Lizzo turned to social media to give ticket-holders a health update and to apologize for pulling out last-minute. She filmed herself wearing a face mask, nestled in bed with layers of blankets over her.

“Montreal, I’m so sorry…but I physically cannot do the show,” she admitted. “I promise we will honor your tickets.”

The platinum-selling artist continued to share her symptoms. Throughout her decade-long career, this incident marks her second-ever cancelation.

“I had a sore throat last night, and a headache, and I went to bed. I woke up this morning, and my body is weak, and I have chills, and my head hurts,” said Lizzo. “Normally, if it’s just a cold, I’d shower, I’d eat, take some medicine, and it gets better. But this is getting worse.”

Her sickness has yet to be confirmed by medical professionals, but she believes it’s the flu.

“I think it’s the flu,” shared the hitmaker. “And I have to make the unfortunate decision to cancel today. I want to find a date to reschedule, but I just can’t perform tonight. This is the second time I’ve ever had to cancel due to health, in my entire career, and I will make it up to you, Montreal.”

The vocalist is currently on her Lizzo: The Special Tour. She recently appeared at the Met Gala in New York City to perform alongside legendary flutist James Galway. Her last stop on the tour was in Memphis, Tennessee, and Knoxville, Tennessee, where she brought out drag queens. The power move comes on the heels of the state seeking to restrict drag performances.

“In light of recent and tragic events and current events, I was told by people on the internet, ‘Cancel your shows in Tennessee. Don’t go to Tennessee,’” shared Lizzo during the show. “Why would I not create a safe space in Tennessee where we can celebrate drag entertainers and celebrate our differences?”

Lizzo was slated to perform at the Bell Centre in Montreal. Her next show is scheduled to take place in Hartford, Connecticut, on May 6 at the XL Center. It is unclear if she will move forward and perform at this time.
