Luke Bryan Teases New Music On Social Media: “Been Waiting For You To Hear This One”

Since nabbing his first No. 1 country hit in 2010 with “Rain Is a Good Thing,” Luke Bryan has become one of the genre’s flagship stars. Now 48, the Georgia native is gearing up to release his eighth studio album, Mind of a Country Boy, later this month. The record has already spawned three hit singles in “Love You, Miss You Mean It,” “But I Got a Beer In My Hand” and “Country On.” On Tuesday (Sept. 3,) Bryan delighted his social media following by announcing his next single.

New Luke Bryan Song Premieres This Week

In a video posted to social media Tuesday (Sept. 3,) Luke Bryan opens the door of his pickup truck, slides into the driver’s seat, and turns the radio dial. We then hear the opening notes of his upcoming single, “Country Song Came On—” although the video cuts off before we can hear any lyrics.

“Been waiting for you to hear this one,” wrote the “Play It Again” singer in the caption. “’Country Song Came On’” comes out Friday [Sept. 6.)”

Fans couldn’t hide their excitement. “I’ve been eagerly waiting for this, and I’m totally ready to add ‘Country Song Came On’ to my playlist this Friday,” one user wrote on X/Twitter. “Can’t wait to hear it!!!”

“YAY!! I will be turning it up!!!” added one Instagram user.

Each Song Has Its Place on ‘Mind of a Country Boy’

Mind of a Country Boy—which marks the “Buy Dirt” singer’s first full-length record since 2020’s Born Here Live Here Die Here—will have “a little bit of everything,” Luke Bryan says.

 “I do some things different vocally on this one that I’ve not done before,” the American Idol judge previously said. “It’s about each song having its place and having its meaning. It’s trying not to be overly redundant with songs. I think that’s why I’ve been blessed to have a long career and what I feel like this album’s going to do.”
