Megan Moroney Announces “Am I Okay?” Tour: “It’s Going to Be A Very Magical Year”

Megan Moroney was still an unsigned artist when her single, “Tennessee Orange,” caught fire in late 2022. It’s only been up from there, with the “No Caller ID” singer taking home the ACM Award for New Female Artist of the Year in 2023. Now fresh off a summer on the road with Kenny Chesney, Moroney has announced her own headlining tour.

“i get to play some of my bucket list venues & it’s going to be a very blue very magical year on the road,” Megan Moroney wrote on social media Tuesday (Sept. 10.)

“i’m already counting down the days until i get to see your faces & all of your ‘homemade tshirts & homemade signs,’” continued the “Girl in the Mirror” singer. “i know i’ve said it a lot but thank you for making all of my dreams come true – just over the mooooooon that i get to do this.”

Am I Okay?, the follow-up to Moroney’s 2023 debut Lucky, dropped to much fanfare in July. The 26-year-old Georgia native stays true to her “emo cowgirl” reputation while letting a few glimmers of hope peek through the gloom. I think I’m really happy / I think I wanna stay / Oh my God, am I okay? she sings on the title track.

Is a New Single on the Way?

Lest fans worry that Megan Moroney is shedding her “emo cowgirl” image, the country star recently teased an unreleased track destined for break-up playlists everywhere.

“sooooo yeah the third time was in fact not the charm,” Moroney captioned the Sept. 4 social media post.

The familiar lilt of disappointment has crept into the “Indifferent” singer’s vocals: You swore up and down that you loved me to death / Now, we’re in my driveway, and I’m now your ex / ‘Cause I’m way too much and you need something less.

“Pls release this I need it as my breakup anthem,” one fan commented.
