“We’re getting ready to go out and do a bunch of shows together, which has never happened before,” Williams said early on in the clip. “We’re breaking new ground, and we’re really excited about it.”

Campbell then piped in, “We’re real excited,” before noting that Lucinda opened for Petty and the Heartbreakers at their final concerts at the Hollywood Bowl, which took place in September 2017. You know, Lucinda opened for The Heartbreakers at our last shows at the Hollywood.

He continued, “So we have a connection for many years. And we do a song on the new [Dirty] Knobs album. She sings with me.”

Campbell then shared details about The Dirty Knobs’ performances with Williams.

“[W]e’re gonna do a show that’s gonna be both bands. First her band. It’s a co-headline, but she’s graciously asked to play first,” he explained. “We’re gonna play second with The Dirty Knobs, and then she’s gonna come out and we’re gonna do some Heartbreakers songs and some karaoke and some polkas, or all kinds of stuff. … It’s gonna be great.”

About Williams’ Recent Collaboration with The Dirty Knobs

Williams contributed guest vocals to a song titled “Hell or High Water,” from The Dirty Knobs recently released third studio album, Vagabonds, Virgins & Misfits. The song’s title, obviously, is referenced in the name of the joint tour.

More About the Joint Tour

The Alone and Together: Come Hell or High Water tour will feature a total of nine co-headlining shows. Campbell and The Dirty Knobs also have a couple of concerts scheduled without Williams, on September 13 in Arlington, Texas, and September 15 in Englewood, Colorado.

The joint trek includes multiple performances in Nevada and California, as well as a show in Salt Lake City.
