Since the 1960s, Ozzy Osbourne has dedicated his life and body to heavy metal. A member of Black Sabbath, Ozzy also explored a solo career that helped him sell over 100 million albums. He was even inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame twice. First as a member of Black Sabbath and then again as a solo artist. Having produced a legendary legacy within the music industry, Ozzy will take his final bow on July 5th when he performs alongside Black Sabbath one last time. And while looking over his career, the Prince of Darkness admitted he no longer wanted the rocker lifestyle.

Speaking with The Guardian about the upcoming Back to the Beginning concert, Ozzy promised it would be his last performance ever. Marking the end of a glorious career in music, he insisted, “I’d love to say ‘never say never’ [about more performances in the future], but after the last six years or so… it is time. I lived on the road for 50-odd years, and I’ve kind of got used to not picking up my bags and getting on the bus again. I don’t smoke dope or do any of the rock star lifestyle anymore. I’m kind of like a homebody.”
Ozzy offered a glimpse into his daily lifestyle, which included going shopping with his wife, Sharon Osbourne, which he hated. “I never go out. I never hang out in bars – I don’t drink. So what the f**k is out there for me? I hate going shopping with my wife. I feel like stabbing myself in the neck after half an hour.”

Ozzy Osbourne Ready To Spend Time With “Grandkids”
Knowing what was important, Ozzy only wanted to spend time with his family. “But it’s time for me to spend some time with my grandkids, I don’t want to die in a hotel room somewhere. I want to spend the rest of my life with my family.”
As for Sharon, she looked forward to retirement. Grateful for what they accomplished while in the spotlight, she noted how they would retire to their home in Buckinghamshire. But for Sharon, she wanted more than just sitting at home. “[We’ll] get some ponies and chickens, and a million dogs. I want to open a dog rescue centre and a horse rescue centre. Scream at the neighbours a couple of times. There you go.”
With Ozzy preparing to take the stage for one last show, it appeared the both the singer and his wife were ready to enjoy the quiet life.
