On Tuesday morning, around 3:00 a.m., former guitarist for Ozzy Osbourne, Jake E. Lee, decided to walk his dog. While not out of the ordinary, tragedy struck when a person shot Lee multiple times. Thankfully, medical professionals were able to get to Lee in time and transport him to a nearby hospital. With the news of the shooting making headlines, Osbourne decided to share his thoughts on the incident and his friend.
Releasing a statement to TMZ, Osbourne explained how nearly four decades passed since he saw Lee. But that didn’t mean he forgot about his former guitarist. He said, “It’s been 37 years since I’ve seen Jake E. Lee, but that still doesn’t take away from the shock of hearing what happened to him today. It’s just another senseless act of gun violence. I send my thoughts to him and his beautiful daughter, Jade. I just hope he’ll be OK.”

Eddie Trunk Shares Update On Jake E. Lee As Ozzy Osbourne Breaks Silence
At this moment, the Las Vegas Police Department believes Lee was not targeted but just in the wrong place at the wrong time. While the incident is still under investigation, Lee’s family asked fans to give them some time and privacy as they work through the following months and focus on the musician’s recovery.
Sharing some details surrounding the shooting, Eddie Trunk shared a post on Twitter, reading, “Update on Jake E Lee. He was hit 3 times. He was hit in the chest, arm and foot. Bullets missed all major organs except lung. But he is doing well and expected to make a full recovery. This info direct from his manager who I just spoke with. Got very lucky thankfully!”
Gaining over 140,000 likes, fans rallied around the singer, writing, “Holy s**t.. that was too close. Glad he’s pulling through!!” Another person added, “I certainly hope his arm damage won’t affect his recent statements to return to recording and touring. God bless you, Jake E. Lee, you are a legend with much more to offer the world.”
