Today, CMA released a minute-long movie announcing the three celebrities as this year’s host at the 58th Annual CMA Awards. Both informative and entertaining, the video not only announces the hosts but also ingrains excitement and anticipation for country music fans all around the world. Given the short film’s impressive quality, the three hosts and the show have a lot to live up to. Here is a little synopsis of what the video entailed.
The CMA’s Lean Into The Humour
Above all, the CMA promotional film is quite funny. It could be construed as cheesy and kitschy, but let’s take it for what it is. That being so, the film starts with Bryan and Manning riding down a country road voicing their excitement for the upcoming show. Suddenly the two start listening to Wilson’s “Hang Tight Honey,” and out of nowhere Wilson pops up from the back seat and surprises the two.
The faces of Manning and Bryan are priceless. Especially Bryan, as that face will become a meme and be plastered all over the internet for years to come. Nevertheless, the film is fun, friendly, and fires everybody up for the impending awards show. Bryan, Manning, and Wilson’s on-screen charisma will surely transfer over to the big screen come the big night. The video is worth the watch and will definitely lead to some laughs.
A Rookie Among Veterans
This year marks Manning’s third time hosting the awards show and Bryan’s fourth time. On the contrary, this will not only be Wilson’s first time hosting the awards show but seemingly the first time hosting any major televised event. Regardless, her on-stage experience matched with her charisma will make this job easy as pie.
Wilson is thrilled by the opportunity as she stated, “I could not be more excited to host the CMA Awards this year with Luke and Peyton.” And “It’s such an incredible honor and something I’ve always dreamed of doing. We’re planning a really great show for y’all, so make sure to watch on Nov. 20,” per ABC.
