According to VIBE, the star-studded guest list included Fat Joe, TT Torrez, Fabolous, and her husband, Papoose. Mase was also in attendance and serenaded the birthday girl. The snapshots captured by esteemed photographer Johnny Nunez, feature party-goers dressed to the nines in flapper-like costumes, designer, and ensembles that reflect the Prohibition era.

The “All The Way Up” singer sported an eye-catching sequined gown and matching headpiece. The form-fitted dress was brought to the top with a floor-length feathered boa, transforming the outfit into a twenties chic look.

According to the outlet, the hip-hop artist took hold of the microphone to express her gratitude and explain what the milestone year meant. Remy Ma mentioned that she’s 35, instead of 43 because of the years served in Prison.

“When they told me they were doing like a dinner party for me, I just thought it was crazy because y’all know I really don’t like nobody at all,” she said. “I was like, ‘Who’s going to be there? I really don’t like nobody at all.’ But everybody who’s in here, I genuinely love, and I have love for. Y’all know I f**k with y’all.”

She continued, “I got everybody in here number. We call, text, we talk sh*t…so I appreciate all of y’all coming to my 35th birthday. I don’t f**king count the ones when I was in prison, and I don’t count the ones from COVID.”

The Grammy-nominated musician was sentenced to eight years in prison in 2008, after shooting a friend in 2007. Remy Ma believed the victim stole $3,000 from her purse after a night out in Manhattan.

While the artist’s lawyer Ivan Fisher claimed the incident was accidental, she was found guilty of assault, weapon possession, and attempted coercion. She was released in 2014.

Remy Ma’s husband hosted the birthday bash. Papoose, 45, jumped on social media to share a clip of Mase surprising his wife. After the vocalist dubbed Mase, her “favorite rapper,” the two shared a tight embrace.

“Surprised the Queen @remyma with 1 of her fav rappers. Felt good to see her genuinely surprised & happy,” said Papoose on Instagram. “She’s made my born day special so many times. This was well deserved. Peace to the Harlem Legend, my bro @rsvpmase Real people do real things. Peace to @roseaym @hennessy @tunecore “Head of Hip Hop.”

Remy Ma is scheduled to appear at the Essence Festival of Culture on July 2 in New Orleans, Louisiana.
