Sebastian Bach Reveals He Plans to Make Major Changes to His Future Concerts

No matter how famous someone is, they can’t escape the ravages of time. Former Skid Row frontman Sebastian Bach, 56, has learned this the hard way. His body is forcing him to tone down his onstage antics as he ages. Like anyone else, he can’t rock out like he could when he was young.

Recently Bach appeared on the Come on Over podcast. During the conversation, the rockstar discussed his life, solo career, and latest album. He also took time to talk about why he is changing his live shows and why making those changes was hard for him.

Sebastian Bach Is Slowing Down

During his conversation with chef/TV personality Jeff Mauro, Sebastian Bach revealed, “I’ve got to dial it back physically. That headbanging bullsh*t, I can’t do that anymore,” he said. Despite his joints hurting while onstage and being sore the next day, this was a tough decision for the former Skid Row singer to make. He has always poured everything he had into his performances. It seems that his lifetime of rocking has left him with some serious aches and pains.

“I have this thing where I get on stage and my brain says, ‘Don’t be a p**sy. F**king kick their ass, you mother**ker,” Bach said. “When I’m onstage, I don’t know why but I don’t feel any pain,” he added.

Bach went on to explain that he laughs at the pain while he’s performing. While he’ll be feeling pain in his ankles and shoulders, he knows that no one came to hear about his woes. The fans came to see a show and, for a time, he pushed through the pain to give them what they paid for. However, the time has come for him to think about his well-being.

Last year, Bach had a busy touring schedule. As a result, he had plenty of time to think about the future while being sore from a blowout show the night before. So far, the rock legend hasn’t booked many shows in 2025. However, it seems that when he does play, fans will see a much more subdued—and comfortable—version of the show they came to see.
