When Aubrie Sellers re-releases her debut album New City Blues on Friday, the track listing will be more-or-less the same, but with two exciting additions in the form of new material. You can now check out one of those new songs here, a live studio version of The Zombies tune, “The Way I Feel Inside.”
“A great song is a great song, it doesn’t have to be complicated,” Sellers said. “A song like this takes you to a place that’s universal … that’s lonely and hollow. Recording it live on one mic and stripped down helped really capture those feelings. And even though a lot of people don’t know the Zombies, they really boiled down a lot of those big emotions into really small moments that ring true. I love it.”
