Bob Dylan is a masterful scribe, there is no doubt about that. His words, lyrics, prose, and poetry have graced nearly every corner of the arts and continue to do so. However, the means Dylan now uses to share his wit is one you’d never expect. As a matter of fact, you still might have a hard time believing it even when you see physical evidence. But believe it, because it’s real, and Bob Dylan is seemingly here to stay when it comes to his presence on X.

Dylan’s X presence might remind someone of an older relative they know. He’s not dropping any poetic bombs, rather, Dylan is just letting the people know what’s on his mind, what’s going on in his life, and even where to eat. His posts might seem arbitrary, sure, but their randomness creates some delightful humor, especially when you realize who is on the other side of the screen. With all that in mind, here are three of Bob Dylan’s best posts on his X account.
Dooky Chase & New Orleans
On October 1 of this year, Dylan took to X to share a restaurant review. He wrote in the post, “Last time in New Orleans we ate at Dooky Chase’s Restaurant on the corner of North Miro and Orleans” and “If you’re ever there I highly recommend it.”
Again, and no offense Mr. Dylan, but this just seems like something your Dad to grandad would tell you. And it’s great, as many of us have never interacted with Dylan or his material in such a colloquial fashion. The man just loves Dooky Chase’s Creole restaurant, and he wants you to know.

Bob Dylan’s Run-In With The Buffalo Sabres
Bob Dylan is one of the most famous musicians of all time, so, of course, a group of 20 to 30-year-old NHL hockey players are going to know who the man is. Dylan ran into the Sabres and given the storyteller he is, took to X to tell the story.
He wrote in the post, “I ran into one of the Buffalo Sabres in the elevator at the Prague hotel. They were in town to play the New Jersey Devils” and “He invited me to the game but I was performing that night.” There you go, Dylan ran into the Sabres, nothing more nothing less. Just another great story to add to Dylan’s already decorative and colorful list of tales.

Mary Jo’s Birthday
Dylan’s always been a bit ambiguous and cryptic, and that is surely part of his appeal. He reaffirmed the attribute when he posted a birthday shoutout for an unidentified individual. He wrote on September 25, “Happy Birthday Mary Jo! See you in Frankfort.”
Still, nobody knows who “Mary Jo” is, but Dylan was in Frankfurt to play a couple of shows for his tour in early October. A mysterious post, but one that reminds people that Dylan, like everybody else, has friends and wishes to wish them a happy birthday whenever he so pleases.
