Before the performance, one person noted, “Shaboozey is going to be on the field longer than the Bears offense,” making a cheeky comment on the state of the game. However, this was shared by another account who provided context, proving that the statement is actually true.
Shaboozey took the stage sporting a Detroit Lions jacket, starting with the song “Last of My Kind” and shouting out Detroit throughout the song. He transitioned into “A Bar Song (Tipsy)” next, while someone posted on Twitter, “With his walk to the stage, Shaboozey now has more total yards than the Chicago Bears.” Overall it seems like people on social media are more into slamming the Chicago Bears than anything today.
Shaboozey Takes Detroit By Storm with Thanksgiving Halftime Show
Shaboozey closed his performance by wishing everyone a Happy Thanksgiving. One person on Twitter shared that they were hearing his music for the first time. “First time I’m hearing Shaboozey’s music. I’m feeling it,” they wrote.
Another included a gif of dancing cowboys and wrote, “This Shaboozey halftime show having us like.” True, his blend of hip-hop and country is endlessly danceable, whether your two-stepping, line dancing, or just jumping around.
Fans were generally loving Shaboozey’s performance, with positive tweets peppered in along with complaints from frustrated Bears fans. All in all, not a bad showing, if you’re a Lions fan.
