The Top 10 Alice in Chains Songs

Formed in 1987 in Seattle, Washington, Alice in Chains is one of the “Big Four” grunge bands, which also includes Soundgarden, Nirvana, and Pearl Jam—though, of course, it’s easy to quibble with labels like that.

But no matter how you slice it, the band made its mark in rock and metal music in the ‘80s and ‘90s and still carries a large metaphorical echo today. Formed by vocalists and songwriters Jerry Cantrell and Layne Staley, the group boasted a number of hits and several No. 1 albums.

Alice in Chains has also garnered 11 Grammy nominations. And while the band is continuing today, despite the tragic death of Staley in 2002 from a drug overdose, many of their most indelible hits came when Staley was still alive.

Here, we want to dive into the best of the best from the iconic group. So, without further ado, here are Alice in Chains’ Top 10 Songs.
