Well, it seems anything and everything can be country music as The Wiggles recently announced their impending country music album. For context, The Wiggles are a children’s music group founded in 1991 and are a staple in the children’s entertainment industry. That being so, it seems The Wiggles are doubling down on their fame by hopping onto the country music bandwagon.

The Wiggles will release their 32-track album, Wiggle Up Giddy Up, on March 7 and will feature some of country music’s biggest stars. The artists featured on the album include Dolly Parton, Lainey Wilson, Dasha, Jackson Dean, Morgan EvansOrville PeckMacKenzie Porter, and several undisclosed others.

Anthony Field, the co-founder of The Wiggles stated, “This is one of the most exciting projects we’ve ever been a part of, in fact, I’ve never spent so much time on an album before.” “Country music is all about storytelling and connection,” added Field.

Dasha Teams Up With The Wiggles

One of the already-released collaborations from the album is between The Wiggles and Dasha. Purple Wiggle, Lachy Gillespie stated, “It’s a song that’s packed with energy, fun, and plenty of country flair.” She continued, “Collaborating with the incredible Dasha, whose music has already brought country music to a whole new audience, was an absolute joy.”

Dasha’s collaboration with The Wiggles comes after her decorated and career-launching 2024. In 2024, Dasha performed at the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade and received a People’s Choice Country Award for, “Austin (Boots Stop Workin’).” Quite the transition to say the least, but one that will surely benefit Dasha’s diverse fan base in the future

In totality, the children’s group’s new country music is just another way to spread the genre to the masses. However, we’d all be lying if we didn’t think this was unexpected. Nonetheless, the album will surely accomplish just that and maybe even some more. Also, Post Malone and Shaboozey better watch their backs, as Nashville has a new country music shark circling its prey. Don’t sleep on The Wiggles, as their song with Dasha is criminally catchy.
