The pair of Las Vegas performances mark the official end to Keith’s 18-month-long pause from touring. He was forced to clear his performance schedule undergo treatment for stomach cancer after being diagnosed in 2022. In recent weeks, Keith has been teasing a possible return to the live stage.

Following two surprise performances in his home state of Oklahoma, he made a headline-making appearance at the inaugural People’s Choice Country Awards in September. After being presented with the first-ever Country Icon Award, Keith took the stage for a moving rendition of “Don’t Let the Old Man In.”

The poignant track from his 2019 album Greatest Hits: The Show Dog Years took on new meaning, immediately connecting with fans. Days later, “Don’t Let the Old Man In” was sent to country radio stations and quickly rose to No. 1.
