While continuing to share his love for music on the stage, Willie Nelson’s legacy goes all the way back to the 1950s. Growing up with a love for music, he eventually decided to step into the spotlight. With nothing but a dream, the following decades watched as Nelson not only became a pillar in country music but a legendary singer and songwriter. Throughout the early years of his career, the hitmaker wrote songs like “Pretty Paper”, “Crazy’, and “Hello Walls.” And when thinking about crazy, Nelson released his 76th solo album with Last Leaf on the Tree. With fans praising the singer, others were shocked to learn this actually marked his 153rd album.

Hitting the airwaves, Nelson’s newest album featured both original songs and covers that surrounded the idea of death and one’s own mortality. While fans gushed over the new album, others expressed their shock when one tweet revealed, “Willie Nelson has released his 153rd album ‘Last Leaf On The Tree’ (76th solo).”

Although the tweet featured only one line, it was more than enough to send fans into a frenzy over the massive amount of writing and recording Nelson did over his ongoing career. Looking at the comments, they included, “153rd album?? OMG who kept the count.” Another person added, “153rd is crazy but also lowkey impressive.” And the praise didn’t stop there with one comment insisting, “Meanwhile I still need to do my laundry.”

Willie Nelson Not Ready To Quit

The conversation didn’t stop there as fans continued to tackle the large number. “That’s incredible! Willie Nelson continues to be a legend in the music world. Excited to hear what he brings with ‘Last Leaf On The Tree’!” Other fans had fun with the milestone, revealing, “Taylor Swift coming to beat this record.” 

Having a drive to continue to perform, Nelson recently explained what it was like to be over 90 years old. With the release of Last Leaf on the Tree, the country star noted he wasn’t worried about dying. He told the Associated Press, “I’m 91 plus, so, you know, I’m not worried about it. I don’t feel bad. I don’t hurt anywhere.” He continued, “I don’t have any reason to worry about dying.”

With fans astonished over Nelson’s contributions to country music, the singer might have a few more releases before hanging it up for good.
