Troye Sivan Shares New Album, Dresses in Drag For “One of Your Girls” Music Video

Troye Sivan shared his latest album Something To Give Each Other on Friday, October 12. Along with the album came a new music video for one of the tracks, “One of Your Girls.” Sivan tapped Disney Channel star turned rockstar heartthrob, Ross Lynch, for the visual.

Everybody loves you, baby / You should trademark your face / Linin’ down the block to be around you / But, baby, I’m first in place, Sivan sings in the sparse, yet alluring track.

To help drive home the lyrics of the chorus (Give me a call if you ever get desperate / I’ll be like one of your girls) Sivan dressed in drag for the music video which was crafted by the same team responsible for his last two: director Gordan von Steiner, cinematographer Stuart Winecoff, and choreographer Sergio Reis. While all dolled up, Sivan seduces Lynch, dances with a host of background performers, and more. Check it out, below.

Something To Give Each Other marks Sivan’s third studio album. The project has been described via a release as “A celebration of sex, dance, sweat, community, queerness, love, and friendship.” The album has already produced some pop standouts including “Rush” and “Got Me Started.” Find the full tracklist, below.

“Rush” was a runaway success for Sivan. It has already amassed 215 million combined global streams. Sivan also released a remixed version of the song with PinkPantheress and Hyunjin of Stray Kids.

“I think ‘Rush’ is maybe the most turbo,” Sivan previously shared of the song. “It’s going 100 percent. The rest of the album has moments of that, for sure, but the thing that was really important to me was, yeah, I’m in a phase of having a lot of fun, but at the same time, I think a lot about everything, and so I wanted to make sure that there were layers and vulnerability in it still. But you can 100 percent party to the album, for sure.”

Lynch is one part of the music duo The Driver Era. Their latest release, a remixed version of a song called “Fantasy”, arrived in September. While he is now a purveyor of indie pop jams, he got his start on the Disney Channel original Austin & Ally.
