In celebration of UB40’s 45th anniversary, the band has announced their upcoming UB45 U.S. Summer Tour.

Starting on July 4 in Camden, New Jersey, the legendary reggae-pop band will bring fans special live performances of their worldwide hit singles to the stage. With additional dates being added, the national tour will include stops coast-to-coast in Westbury, New York, and Los Angeles, California, as well as dates in Boston, Nashville, Seattle, Portland, Las Vegas, and more. Special guests including Maxi Priest, Inner Circle, Third World, and Big Mountain will also be performing. Fans can purchase tickets through the band’s official website, UB40.GLOBAL.

In addition to this U.S. tour, UB40 will also be releasing a new album this summer titled UB45. The release date has yet to be announced, and the album will feature new songs and reworked classics. With new material and a lineup of special guests, this tour is sure to be a celebration of UB40’s legacy and a showcase of the band’s enduring appeal.

“We love playing the U.S., and celebrating our 45th year and having a new album makes our return even more exciting,” says guitarist/vocalist Robin Campbell in a release.

Adds lead singer Matt Doyle: “Touring the States last year was an absolute dream come true for me, and now I just can’t wait to get back out there. Most of all I can’t wait for the U.S. fans to hear some of our new tunes! I think they’re going to love UB45!”

UB40 started as a group of young friends from Birmingham, England. They took their name from the British Unemployment Benefits Card. With working-class origins, UB40 has had more than 50 U.K. hit singles including “(I Can’t Help) Falling In Love With You,” “Red Red Wine,” and “I Got You Babe (Ft. Chrissie Hynde).” The band also is a four-time Grammy nominee for Best Reggae Album.
