Watch Peyton Manning Escort Morgan Wallen on Stage in Full Tennessee Volunteers Uniform for Record-Setting Knoxville Show

It is nearly common knowledge that Morgan Wallen is a steadfast and rabid University of Tennessee fan. Hailing from Sneedville, Tennessee, Wallen has been a fan of the Volunteers far before his fame and has divulged this fact in the song “Tennesse Fan” and when he went to the Volunteers’ World Series game last June.

With all this in mind, when Wallen took the stage at Neyland Stadium over the weekend he wasn’t just doing it as another stop on his tour. Rather, it seemed like he was going to his second home. One event of the night attributing to this is when two-time Super Bowl Champion and former Volunteer, Peyton Manning escorted him onto the stage fully dressed in his college uniform.

Morgan Wallen’s Walk-Out

Wallen has been known to be joined by some illustrious football players when entering his concerts. Earlier this summer Kansas City Chiefs players, Patrick Mahomes, Travis Kelce, and Chris Jones walked him out onto the stage at Arrowhead Stadium. However, with Manning, it meant all the more to him given his deep ties to the University of Tennessee.

In addition to Manning, Wallen also walked out with the Tennesse football coach and players, Josh Heupel, Nico Iamaleava, and Bru McCoy. Although, Manning garnered the most attention as he wore his iconic number 16 jersey and gave Tennessee fans a taste of the glory days. Additionally, Manning’s sense of humor came out in full force as he sarcastically pretended to be warming up for a Saturday game by stretching and putting on his helmet.

Wallen’s Tennessee Ties Paid Off

Thanks to Morgan Wallen’s undying affection for both the state and the university, his double-header at Neyland Stadium over the weekend broke attendance records. The artist’s two shows broke the all-time attendance record for a concert with nearly 156,000 fans in attendance over the two nights. Wallen surpassed the Jackson 5’s record of 148,000 over three nights.

That said, it seems he was able to pull this off given his loyalty to Tennessee and Tennessee’s loyalty to him. In addition to Manning’s appearance, the two-day stint at Neyland Stadium included an array of other guest appearances making the double-header one of the most memorable set of shows in recent years.
